Absolutely. We ship nationwide—including to New York, California, Florida, and the Carolinas—and export globally to countries such as Mexico, Israel, and Venezuela.
5. What makes your casting alloys stand out?
Our U.S.-made alloys are known for their purity, consistent flow rate, low shrinkage, and excellent surface finish. We rigorously test each batch and offer technical support and MSDS or Certificates of Analysis upon request.
6. Are your pewter alloys lead-free?
Yes, we offer a wide range of lead-free pewter alloys that comply with ASTM and CPSIA regulations. We also offer clearly labeled leaded pewter for clients who require specific compositions.
7. Can I buy small quantities?
Yes. We don’t impose minimum order requirements, but we do ask that customers purchase full units—such as complete 7 lb bars or individual pewter sheets sold by the pound.
8. Do you offer recycled or eco-friendly options?
We strive to use recycled materials whenever possible and follow Cradle-to-Grave protocols for safe, environmentally responsible manufacturing.
9. How fast can I expect my order to ship?
Most in-stock orders ship within 3–7 business days. Orders placed before noon EST can often ship the same day. Expedited service is available upon request.
10. Do you sell to hobbyists and smaller businesses?
Yes, we welcome orders from hobbyists and small-scale creators. We’ve seen a steady increase in demand from individual makers, and we’re happy to support their casting needs.
11. Do you offer rubber molds and plating metals?
Yes, we supply black organic rubber molds in sizes 9”, 12”, 15”, and 18”, as well as plating metals like copper, nickel, tin, and tin-lead for electroplating applications.
12. What are the typical shrink and tensile properties of your pewter?
Shrink factor varies by casting mass and alloy but ranges between 2–6%. Tensile strength for our lead-free pewters ranges from 6,000 to 8,600 psi, and up to 41,000 psi for zinc alloys.
13. Is pewter safe for children or food use?
Only lead-free pewters under 100 ppm are considered safe for children or food contact. There’s no way to verify the composition of existing pewter items without lab analysis.
14. Can I melt or cast pewter at home?
Yes, pewter can be melted using a stainless steel or cast iron pot on a kitchen burner. However, it should never be microwaved, exposed to open flame, or washed in a dishwasher.
15. Do you offer repair or appraisal services?
No, we do not repair or appraise pewter items. Please contact a licensed appraiser or restoration expert for these services.
16. How should I clean and maintain pewter?
Clean with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and towel dry. Use silver polish for shine and avoid dishwashers or direct heat. Use straight-line motions when polishing—never circles.
17. How will my order ship?
We primarily use UPS Ground for reliability and tracking. USPS is available but discouraged due to delivery issues. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
18. What are your payment methods?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, money orders, and Net Terms (with credit approval).
19. Can you cast my jewelry or novelty items?
No, we do not offer small-scale casting services. We only supply the metals. We do provide large-scale casting for items like counterweights, keels, and ballasts.
